To celebrate my third wedding anniversary I thought I’d share some of our beautiful autumnal wedding which took place on the sixth of may 2017. This date was special for us to choose because it was Jeshua’s grandparents wedding anniversary, which we celebrated by asking them to sign the registry at our ceremony. It was so special.

The day started briskly with a cool autumn frost, my special ladies all came into my bedroom to gossip with excitement and I gave them all a gift bag with a robe and a necklace to wear. We ate bagels and started to get ready, it was fun and so relaxing.

Our ceremony took place in St Andrews Church in Cambridge, New Zealand – the same church that Jeshua’s parents were married in, and the same church that I would drive past and admire at least once a month when I was a student. It was a dream to get married here.

I’m obsessed with greenery and forestry colours so my bridesmaids wore forest green and nude heels. I decided to go for a bespoke silver sequin dress because all of the usual white dresses that I tried on just didn’t feel like me. After seeing a sequined dress on pinterest I fell in love with the concept and got in touch with a local designer to create my unique dress. I am still so in love with it!

Our reception was in the Cambridge Town Hall, just a short walk from the church. It is such a beautiful old building which we transformed with our lighting, tables and greenery.

We ended our perfect day at the house that I woke up in, a family friend’s rural estate. An amazing house for an afterparty. We had endless drinks, a pinata and even a fireworks display! We danced the night away with our mates until we jetted off to our hotel.

What a day we had, such beautiful memories with our closest friends and family that we will forever cherish.

Happy Anniversary to us x
