To mark the first day of November, and with only 54 days until Christmas, here are some cute and affordable gift ideas for your special someone! These are also great for mates and secret santa at work. Can you tell I’m already way too hyped for Christmas?!

Popcorn and Movie Gift Box

This one is a really cute and thoughtful secret santa present! Find popcorn boxes at party shops such as look sharp, fill it with a pack of popcorn, a few snacks, and a DVD or $20 cinema voucher.

Single Origin Coffee with a Reusable Cup

Perfect for a coffee lover that’ll appreciate having good coffee on christmas morning, also good for someone who is hard to buy for!

Cooler with Drinks

Small coolers are super handy for the beach days that follow christmas day, throw in a four pack of fizzy or beers.

Vintage Picnic Basket with Snacks

Picnic baskets are easy to find on trade me or in thrift shops if you have the time, and are super thoughtful and cute to have! Pop some snacks and a picnic blanket inside if you have some room in your budget too.

Beach Bag and Towel

Just plain practical, look around for a cool bag and a cute, unique towel and the recipient will be stoked to be able to put them to good use over summer!

Disposable Camera

I LOVE receiving stuff that I can use straight away, even on Christmas day. A disposable camera is so much fun to have for family events and new years. They’re harder to find in store these days but there are always a bunch on TradeMe.

A Good Read

A book is often a risky present to buy someone, but do some research, and find a recent release that they might like. Some of my recent favourites for the ladies are Goldie and Women Don’t Owe You Pretty. 

Card Games

If you’re after a small ticket item for under $30 then head to the warehouse or the supermarket and pick up a monopoly deal set, guess who the card game, or uno. They’re classic and are super fun to play with once its been unwrapped!

Cocktail Set

Make your own! Pick up a couple of mini bottles of spirits, a nice mixer and some garnishes and pop them all in a nice box. Voila!

LUSH Goodies

The easiest fail safe spot to get some pamper session essentials. You can pick up some soap and a bath bomb for under $20, but they feel super luxurious!
